Ripped me off ripoff

First Move Moving Company ripped me off.

My move was from Pacifica, California (just south of San Francisco) to Vancouver, Washington (just north of Portland, Oregon).

I was charged almost twice what the estamite was. The movers were rude, and did not handle anything with care. Most of my valuables were broken.

Furniture was damaged. I was charged for packing materials that were used and broken. I was also charged for packing tape to wrap everything with, since these incapable movers did not bring any straps with them, they used tape for everything.

I was told my delivery date could be within 2-3 days. Whenever I wanted it. The movers insisted it be a day before I was even in the state.

They insisted I be at the house no later than 8am the day they told me I HAD to be there. I was at the house at 745am.

The movers did not show up until almost 9am. They insisted on cash before they would unloand anything. Banks open at 9am. I told them, if they had complied to the original agreement, I would have had the money waiting for them.

After paying the remaining "ransom" for my things, they unloaded the truck. They dropped a box of food in my driveway and claimed the box was "damaged in transit".

The box was leaking Balsamic Vinegar. None was found in the truck. Only on the driveway. So in other words, they are liars too.

After I was rid of the imcompetant movers, I called the head office only to hear that they would only refund me $200.00.

I sadly agreed to this, since it was better than nothing and I filed a claim with the BBB.

Upon recieving my complaint from the BBB, First Move has withdrawn my refund. So, here I am still without any resolve and still ripped off.

Do not use First Move out of Southern California. They will rip you off too!
