Unethical business ripoff

I recieved a peachdirect magazine in the mail. I applied online for the peachdirect credit card. They gave me an (800) number to call for approval. I called the number and the gentleman on the phone asked me a number of questions to verify who I was. Supposedly he checked my credit and came back to tell me that I was approved for $1000 credit limit and my funds would be available to use immediately. I checked my order status and it said pending waiting for bank approval. Now they have blocked me from entering their website. When I type in the web address, the page says service unavailable. I feel they could have the decency to e-mail you or call you to let you know that your credit was approved instead of lying and getting peoples hopes up.
