Lottery rip-off scam letters mail

Im a 17 year old who suddenly recieved a letter in the mail claiming to pay alump-sum amount of $2,998.80. Well i was so happy the first person i told was my mom. She told me not to get my hopes up, but that was like talking to adoor knob... I mean i had won all this money and she;s telling me not to get my hopes up? Anyways she told me to do some reaseach on the company... Nothing much showed up. But i did find enough form this website and alot of seach engines to proove it was a fraud!

The check that came with it was not from premier random lottery. It was from shea homes inland empire division. Now why would a home selling company be the name on the check. Ponder that one. Also the letter tells me to deposit the check and then send them some money back.? For what? This thing has red flags poping up every were.

All i have to say is thank god i did not deposit the check. I already owe so much money to other companys and now this lands on my pile of dept. I hope one of the *&*&s from the company is reading this because one way or another im gonna find ya and alawsuite will be brought about. Then to make things fishier, on the envelope it says from anywere to anyone? What the hell does that mean? No return adrress or any thing. Whatever you do, do not cash that check.
