A.L. C financial group, inc., or berth morgan of alc financial group inc. These Cheats sent me a CHK for $2410.19 claiming it was for taxes, asked me to deposit advance for taxes on the lottery winnings and send them the money - WARNING THIS IS A RIPOFF!

I got a Check in the mail For $2410.19 made out in my name on a NationalCity BANK CHK. From; "a.L.C. Financial group, inc."

acct# 658871009. I called 306-351-0063 as requested on the AWARD LETTER. The guy on the other end asked me for the chk#"11947".

After I gave him the # he asked me to go ahead and cash the chk. And call him back for instructions on where to send the money (this was supposed to be an advance for taxes on the lottery winnings, which were split between 25 people. It would have left me with $80,750.00 -5% commission for the sponsor. I tried to verify funds! None available! I caled the bank from a phone# i got online. THE ACCT# DIDNT MATCH THE BUSINESS NAME printed on the check! (OF COURSE THEY ALLWAYS SAY " PLEASE KEEP THIS STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL UNTIL AFTER THE TRANSACTION IS FINISHED" Supposably to prevent fraudulent claims? The letter is signed "PATRICK O'MEGARE, AWARD DIRECTOR" AND THE AGENT NAME IS "BERTH MORGAN" TO BE CONTACTED @ TEL: 306-351-0063 (answered while driving a car)
Business Phone on CHK IS: (705) 770-0901 and is answered by a retail store clerk, who made the mistake of Finishing a Cash Register transaction & stepping out for a smoke break when I called, (all too "Common" Background noises) Then had to ask the other guy what address to give when asked for a mailing address. (I would suspect terrorist funding or something of that nature to be going on with a scam like this!)

A FEW HINTS TO DETECT SCAMS, and AVOID getting Burned!!!
Don't even try to cash a chk. If it comes in an envelop with no return address. If you didnt enter the contest yourself? Verify everything before even thinking about depositing anything form a source you havnt confirmed yourself every-time!

and last, i couldnt have been hit harder if they tried... IM A Disabled CANCER Patient Trying to take care of my family (9 kids total between my wife and I), Who is loosing everything at once. I just didnt need any false hope thrown this way! Can sombody please catch these crooks before hey hurt anyone else? That kind of cruelty really hurts a lot of innocent people. I will be praying for their capture...
