Poor customer service, nevers answers the phone or returns calls, absolutley terrible company ripoff

As a member of another cable company for 5 yrs. Which provided me with excellent service 99% of the time. I recived a letter stateing my cable service would be provided by rapid communications [aka rapid cable]. I was a little concerned but not to worried. The first week went fine then the letter from rapid cable stating they were my cable provider from now on if i had any problems to contact them not my previuos provider. Still everything ok. Then the winds picked up. We had a windy front blow in about [35mph]steady all day. This knocked out our cable to the whole area, on apr. 11th or so. I tryed to contact rapid cable but only got a ring or nothing.

The next day i tried again this time a human that said they would be out that day to fix the problem, ok fine. But no one showed. On apr. 14th i made atleast 50 attempets on the phone to reach someone to no avail, so i left several voice messages which were never returned. I went to there web site and send 5 emails once again no responce, this went on until apr 18th. When i sent them a letter stating my service was to be dissconnected, and a final payment of 9.42. Which reflected the 1 week of service i did recive. On april the 25th the check cleared the bank. But still no response from rapid cable.

On the 23rd i called the satellite people. They were out the next day and i had viewable tv once again after a 13 day nightmare. [with a seven year old and no tv]now its the 1st of may and i recived a bill from rapid cable for 84.30, for cable service. That has been out for 3 wks.[neighbors still out]and i sent a letter and final check on that they cashed. And still no response from rapid cable. Glad i called the sattilite folks last week. Please help with advice.

If they cashed a check which stated final payment. And recived a letter for dissconection, can they still charge me 84.30. I'll never pay it and will sue there you know what in court.

After 5 good years of cable service im shocked companys can act like this. If you ever deal with rapid cable god bless you and call the sattilite people. Dont even try to deal with these theives of our hard earned money. They offer customer no service and terrible reception if any.

To this day ive got about 150 legitimate attempts to contact them to no avail. I'm not wasting no more time on this peice o chit cable company. I will file a complaint also with the better business bureau, against these theifs. Beware if you get a letter saying your cable service is now rapid cable.
