Chased Over $233.98 MCI Bill After Being Slammed Years Ago

I have been harrassed for several yrs by one collection company or another about this bill. They want 233.98, and they do not want to show me why I should pay it. They say I know I owe it. First It was NCO, then it was LVNV, now it is Resurgent Capital. When I take the initiative to waste my time calling these derelicts I get the same answer. "you know you owe it and it will continue to ruin your credit until you pay it" I have never got a copy of any kind of transmission where I signed up for it.

I tell them I was slammed by MCI, I got a bill one month, yrs ago. I called then, told them I was slammed, have no need for a long distance service, send me a bill where I used the long distance, I will pay that, even tho I was slammed to get rid of it, not good enough. Then the whole process begins again as they sell my "debt ' to another creepy collector. My credit is impeccable as this is the only thing on it. I cannot believe the time and energy it takes to clear this. It should be illegal, and they should be put out of business.
