DECC Misleading Financial Reports, Sued for Racial Discrimination, telecommunications, telephone, internet, phone

D&E Communications (NASDAQ - DECC) for the second and third quarters of 2006 posted "write-offs" where D&E Communications did not tell shareholders the whole story.

In the second quarter 2006 D&E Communications (DECC) wrote-off lost business from their failed Systems Integaration business. This write-off was due to D&E Communications (DECC) own poor management that caused customers to leave them and is hidden in the financials.

In the third quarter 2006 D&E Communications (DECC) had a write-off that was for the sale of their Phone System division. What D&E Communications (DECC) fails to tell shareholders is that they were forced to sell this long profitable division because they got rid of the popular sales manager and all the good sales people left D&E Communications (DECC) over this. This again goes to poor management.

Additionally, D&E Communications (DECC) was sued recently by a former employee for racial discrimination and violating public policy. D&E Communications (DECC) settled this lawsuit in a sealed settlement. The lawsuit alleged that minorities were mistreated - what little minorities there are at D&E Communications (DECC) with minority employment being at a rate of 2% when the surrounding communities show a minority population in the 20% range.
