ADT's Best Rip Offs

ADT's Quality (hah) Service Plan. They offer it with their system comparing it to other companies. ADT replaces your equipment with used parts (check their site out and see). ADT won't service your alarm after hours or in an emergency (without exhorbitant charges) even if you have this plan. You're charged $25. Each time someone comes out with this plan and the best part is they don't tell you that they charge 50 cents a month more (to monitoring) for any additional part added to your system.

ADT WILL UP your monthly after the first year (not fixed). They've done it sometimes twice a year in the last five years... Cheaper up front is always a SCAM!!!

ADT won't give you ALL the contract paperwork to look over before your sign (WHY?). I found one company that does give it to you, in fact it's part of their policy to do it. They're that other company B.

ADT has 6 times the customers as their closest competitor. They average 500 complaints a year via that other bureau (their Corp. Site isn't even a member) compared to B who has 50. The best part is this. Guess what most cops use in their own homes (ask one) it's not ADT.
