Don't be fooled, get a REAL job!

I think that it is important to start this report for all the recent college grads out there in the pittsburgh area or those lured into the city by this so called company.

I took a job with Johnson Marketing Insights right after college. It seemed like a good idea at the time (as does everything after graduating college). Worst mistake EVER!

If you do a job search RIGHT NOW on monster, careerbuilder for a marketing/sales job in the pittsburgh area, johnson marketing insights WILL come up! Something needs to be done about this! Sometimes they have over 10 listings for the same day! You'll find readings like: "Tired of Folding clothes? Great Sales Opportunity!" BS!

Everyday before work you would have to go into this office and do this freakin ridiculous drills with one another. Just like a freaking circus! You had to play games with one another. It was very funny. It was just like kindergarden all over again!

Those of you thinking about this job have to know one thing: your NEVER working for yourself! Your team leader pretty much rides your ass until you get to a certain point when they can get a promotion. You also have to know that you get NO RESIDUALS! Guess who gets them? That's right the owner!

When I was there our client was Verizon. We went door to door in our Verizon jackets and Verizon Hats and NEVER WAS TOLD TO USE THE JOHNSON MARKETING INSIGHTS name.

Isn't this some type of misrepresentation!!!?

My team leader was very good. She was a great manipulator, but very unethical. I believe as a salesman you have to build good relationships with customers. My team leader cared nothing about that. The only thing she cared about was getting the sale. I feel sorry for her if a customer actually called in to report her and remembered her name. SCREWED!

The owner/president was very nice. I can't blame him. He just wants to be successful as a business owner. So I can't really blame him. I blame the system. It would all be ok if everything is told to the employee out front!

There was also another owner there. We'll call him the "old navy guy". He had this wacked out haircut and acted like he was IT. I remember him talking to us about the "ladder" in the office one day. I could see right through him. He didn't care about us at all. He had this attitude like "hey im successful and if you want to be, you have to do exactly what i did and if you dont, your not gonna be successful" What a piece of shit he was!

Johnson Marketing Insights sends there managers to other offices within the region. I actually set up a interview with this "other" company to have a little fun with them. I remember him asking me:.."i see you worked for johnson marketing insights, how was that". I then told him the truth... And get this. He then said, "yea, Johnson Marketing Insights is a CULT!"

This guy had no idea that I knew that this company was started by the johnson marketing insights company. Even he said it was a "CULT"... LOL! What a dumbass! Great job picking your Public Relations Department!

So I ask all you new college grads out there to explore, research the company before you take the job. I know that its hard to get a job right after college and places like Johnson Marketing Insights KNOWS THIS! That is why they always look for the "Entry Level Positions" because they know they can use you!!!

I also think we as a group has to do something about all these SCAM companies posting jobs on job boards. I ask places like: Monster, Careerbuilder and HOTjobs to please, please don't let these type of companies post job openings on your board.By letting them, you are causing peoples careers/lifes to change! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do something about this.

And stay the heck away from Johnson marketing insights, johnson matlin international (haha, i guess they think they are international now)

Be patient! I promise you that you will find a better fit for your career if you stay away from this company!!!
