Ripoff Identification theft and preditory lending

In early 2003 I met Jay Edward Stein who owned and operated Vertex Mortgage Group USA and Vertex Investments.

I initially met him for a refinance of my home.
After discussing with him that I had some money in my 401K account that I wanted to buy real estate property with.

Mr. Stein then talked me into forming a partnership with him, which I did, and we called our business NXT Step LLC.

Before I realized what was happening Mr Stein proceeded with processing the loans for each property himself, six in all at the time, and collecting full fees for each loan.

I had not, to this date, recieved any proceeds or reimbersements from the fees.

On or about October I had found out that Mr. Stein had taken out a loan with Bank of America for $50,000.00 using my identification and forging my signature. I also found that Mr. Stein opened a Sprint phone service using my name and social security number as well. Both with out my knowledge or concent.

Mr. Stein has also withdrawn excessive amounts of moneis from the NXT Step LLC business account with out my knowledge before hand or an accounting of why. The check memo only states "Loan repayment".

NXT Step LLC has never "Loaned" Vertex any monies.
About the same time frame as purchasing the investment properties we had formed a hand shake partnership on a commercial building located at 5050 South Tacoma Way, Tacoma, Washington.

Mr. Stein asked for intitail payment of partnership of $75,000.00 which I handed him in a cashiers check form drawn from my personal account in front of the building.
Mr. Stein then later changed his verbage and stated that there was never a partnership in ownership of the building.

To this date Mr. Stein has never paid me back the $75,000.00.
