Unprofessional staff, unorganized, dishonest, rude, over 50 items unaccounted for, packing of items was horrible, poor customer service

Despite being higher on the initial quote, we chose Mayflower over - as our moving company because the sales representative made us believe there would be flexibility on delivery days and also we could have storage for a few days until our new home was ready. Unfortunately this was not the case.

On Friday May 26 we were informed that the delivery of our items would be on Saturday June 3. I explained that we could not have the items delivered on this day, as we would not have the house until Monday, June 5. We were told "well, I guess you better get some storage, because we are delivering no matter what". After scrambling around on that Friday I was able to move up the closings in Virginia and in Pennsylvania to accommodate this Saturday delivery.

On Tuesday, May 30 we were informed that the items were being delivered on Monday, June 5. After I spent the entire day on Friday making alternate accommodations, Mayflower still had no idea as to what was going on. Finally the delivery was scheduled back to Saturday.

On Saturday, June 3 our items were delivered. The driver stated that this move was very unorganized. He thought he and the men he brought with him from New Jersey were to do all of the packing, however the packing was done by another crew. Also, he did not receive one of the manifests from the packers in Virginia to review what was in each box. Plus on top of all of this, we have many items missing from our house.

We were told that wardrobe boxes would be used for clothing on hangers, however some of our clothes were thrown in regular boxes and among other items that are not clothing. Our pictures that were hanging on walls were to be placed in special boxes, but a few were just thrown in regular boxes with other items.

This past week we have left messages for our sales representative and the manager of this office. Neither has shown any professionalism or customer service by returning our calls. I have never received such horrible treatment from any organization.
