First Capitol Consumers Group is a ripoff. They withdrew 199.00 from banking account but I got nothing in return.

I recieved a telephone call at my not even opened yet business declaring that I had be approved for a 5,000.00 Visa business card and needed to pay a one time processing fee of 199.00. I told them that I did not have the 199.00 and they told me that they would not take it out of my account until the 17th of April and if I did not have it then they would send me the paperwork so I could mail it in when I did.

I did not have the money but they took it anyway resulting in service charges on 4 checks twice. I then borrowed 500.00 from a dear friend with the plan of paying her back when the Credit Card came in. I still did not suspect fraud as I had applied for a Capitol One Visa business card and thought that is who I was dealing with.

When the Capitol One paperwork came in I realized that there was 0 processing fee for the first year and 29.00 thereafter I tried to call the contact number they gave me which was answered by an answering machine informing me that all the operators were busy and was answered "First Capitol Consumers"

I have not had any return calls from them or received a credit card or anything else. They have stolen from me when I needed the credit card to get my business open and not only did they steal from me but now I am in debt to my friend with no way of paying back with an unopened Business. At this point I don't know what to do or even how to find out where they are other than the area code is in Canada. Please never give anyone over the phone your banking info!
