Adaptive Marketing
Online monthly debit deduction ripoff

Shops, Products, Services

In 2004 I signed up to sell books on textbooks.com. Now, April one of my bank accounts (that I do not use often) had overdrawn. I hadn't used my debit card since December as I was out of the country.

I called my bank (Bank of America) and they told me that it was because of a charge of 13.95 from something called "Simple PLeasures." I didn't know what it was and I decided to contest it. A representative from Adaptive Marketing gets on the line and said that I had signed up for their service in Febuary 2004. That I had been given a 30 day free trial and ever since had been charged 9.99 every month the first year, 11.99 every month the second, and two months of 13.99 for this year.

I did not consent to this activity. Yes, I did not recognize earlier because it is not my primary bank account, I am out of the country. I never consented to this, nor have I EVER used their services. This is a scam!

Yes, they refunded me for these last two months.in principal if they are going to refund for last month, they should refund me for the whole thing. I do not understand how they can get away with this. Please be advised about Adaptive Marketing. I did not know who they were before yesterday. I am not happy!
