Failure to provide what website promised, ripoff

In Dec. Of 2005 I purchased a puppy from Ravenwolf Shepherds for 1500.00. I was told on the phone by Gayle Barnes that the price did not include the AKC registration papers, that was an extra 500.00.

I agreed to the price of 1500.00 without AKC registration however I was supposed to receive the following... Pictures of the pup from birth until delivery, pink slips on both parents as well as pics. Of parents, microchipping, health guarantee, proof of DNA. I was also supposed to get the pup by Dec. 17 2005.

I got the pup on Dec. 22 only after I had to drive from Frankfort, Illinois to Martin, Tennessee to pick up the dog myself and incure travel expenses. When I got to Tenn. Ms. Barnes had a friend of hers make the exchange in a parkinglot in Tenn. Along with a contract which stated no microchipping. This was never discussed prior to my arriving in Tenn.

I took the dog home with me with nothing but a copy of the contract. I've tried repeatedly to contact Ms. Barnes through e-mails which went ignored until I told her of my plans to retain an attorney. She then replied saying she sent the papers and everything else and did not know why I hadn't received them yet but would be resending them. I still havn't gotten them.

I dealt with Ms. Barnes 3 years ago on the purchase of another shepherd no problems. The dog I bought 3 years ago was only 500.00. So I wanted to purchase another one with better bloodlines and more potential so I paid 1500.00 which I sent to her in Tenn.

I have come to find out through my own investigating that Ms. Barnes has been redflagged by the AKC and could no longer register any of her litters. This too was never mentioned to me prior to any money exchanging hands.

This is a form of theft by deception and the contract I signed I believe is invalid, as for myself I have already contacted the states attorney's office and filed charges against her.
