Incredible mail order hassel of incompetent employees executing funny company policies and practices!

I had used Haband for purchase of men's clothing for 5 or more years and witnessed a few foul-ups, nothing real serious. My latest experience however, proved that it was just a question of time until Haband caught up with me!

First, I had trouble with its web site, so I wrote a letter ordering some pants and belts at $29.98 on Feb. 13. I also authorized an additional $5.00 for a slightly expedited delivery, which Haband chose to ignore.

Later Haband's website showed the order was shipped on Feb. 21, which turned out to be a mis-informed website.

On March 2 I received Haband's written notice through regular mail that my bank had refused payment of the charge. I checked with the bank and what do you know? Haband had been paid of Feb. 24 - the very day the snail mail letter was written!

(The Haband wesite then indicated the merchandise "had been ticketed and was ready for shipment. You should be receiving it very soon.")

That did it! On March 2 I e-mailed some uncomplimentary remarks to Haband and told them to cancel the order, close my account after issuing a full credit, and drop me from its mailing list. On March 3 Haband e-mail me and stated they couldn't cancel the order because the merchandise was shipped on (you guessed it!) March 3!

I had e-mailed and also written Haband with a copy of the bank's proof of payment.

I then e-mailed that IF (and I mean "IF") I received the merchandise I would return it IF Haband sent me the postage. On March 7 I received an e-mail from Haband's Princess R to the effect that Haband is a direct mail order house and could not pay postage for retuened merchandise - besides I had cancelled the order after it was shipped! As everyone knows, the 3rd of March shipment comes before the March 2nd cancellation as a matter of Haband policy!
