Ripoff Life altering Mistakes!

I had my taxes prepared by H&R Block in 2003. I was notified this past June that there were numerous errors in my tax return and that the IRS was auditing me. I immediatley sought the help of the office where my taxers were prepared, thinking that they (H&R Block) would stand behind the product they sell. I was dead wrong!!! They would only help me if I had purchased the Peace of Mind portion of the services. My contention is not that I had purchased the Peace of Mind service, BUT, I was NEVER offered the service. The woman that prepared my taxes was interrupted countless times during my preparation. Phone call, people walking in, people asking questions, etc. And every time she came back to attempt to complete my return, she would make the statement "Now, where was I???" I am not a person with a great deal of money, making less then $40,000 annually and supporting myself on that alone. I have had to make arrangements with the IRS to repay for the numerous errors in excess of $9,000.00. I will be trying to repay this for a minimum of 6 years, never being eligible to receive a tax return until all of the remaining balance is satisfied. I have written to H&R Block and contacted the local manager more times then I can count, never receiving a return call, always being told no one is in, etc. Whatever happened to businesses and people standing behind what they sell??? Where is the integrity? The standard? The values and morals of not only this company but the people who work in management at H&R Block??? I am not certain if anyone out there reading this can help, but I certainly would appreciate it if anyone can. If nothing else, your prayers are appreciated.
