Ripoff, scammed money from my childrens future

My husband and I recently sign up our two girls ages 7 months and 2 years old for Kids.com where we were promised that our girls would get modeling work and there pictures would be on the internet website. We payed $695.00 in total for our girls. My husband recently came across a dateline report stating that Kids.com was under investigation on modeling scams. Of course we were angry to find this information out and now we need help on how to get our money back since we did sign a contact, and what else we can do to help other parents not to fall for this scam.
Please help us that was our savings money we had started for our kids we have 5 kids. Thank heavens I did not put all of them in this modeling agency.
