RIPOFF deceiving, does not deliver what they promise

Shops, Products, Services

This company has deceived people in their website. When the website started on approximately September 16, they offered an iPod Mini which was free if you got 10 people to sign up for their newsletters to the website. I should have known it was a scam when they changed the program stating that you had to purchase $100 worth of items from their website because "their initial allotment of ipod mini's were depleted".

Being skeptical of the program, I still got 10 of my friends at schools to sign up for the program. I also purchased $114 worth of items ($14 over what the website said) through a sponsor on their website (Barnes and Noble) and sent it in on approximately September 26th after I completely signed up 10 of my friends on the website.

2 months later after no contact from PopularMedia LLC and no phone support (except for a fax number in which I don't have a fax machine) and unanswered email support, I get a letter in the mail stating that "Users shall not use multiple email addresses to open multiple user accounts" and "Users shall not misrepresent their identity or impersonate any person". All ten members that I signed up were legitimate people and they knew about the email that I sent them to sign up for the Glam.com offer. None of the ten people were impersonated throughout the transaction because they were people I personally known. There were ten members that did not open multiple user accounts. They all opened accounts according to the T&C's.

It also claimed that I was ineligible to earn anymore rewards through the company from any promotion or website.

I am angry about this letter because I worked hard to get 10 referrals and I paid $114 in offers to get the ipod nano, which was being offered at the time of the promo. If I do not get any satisfactory action through this company, I will report this matter through the Better Business Bureau.
