I hired Globe Van Lines to move my house hold goods from CA to NC back in Feb. When they came the price they qouted me changed to about 1k more. Then when they were suppost to delieve it to me in NC it came 4 days after it was suppost to be here. We ended up getting our stuff on Easter Morning.

When we got our stuff it was being deliever by a sub company named Kin Transport out of Florida. When it was taken off the truck everything was SOAKING WET, not just a lil wet but so wet and rotted that it had been wet for a few days. The driver of the truck told us that there was nothing he could do about it and to either sign for it or he would put it all back on teh truck and take it till we would sign for it. I tried to call Globe Van Lines all that day and for the next few days till i got ahold of "Rashen" who told me that Globe Van Lines wasnt liable for the damages cuz they subed it out to Kin Transport. So we called Kin Transport and they said they were not liable for it neither since we hired Globe.

Now since neither companys wanted to deal with the damage and neither would give me claims forms of any kind. I hired a lawyer to deal with them and to get someone to take responceablity for what happened. I emailed the BBB of Florida and of California, they emailed me back and said that Kin transport responded back to them saying that they were not liable cuz they are a sub company. So now its going on dec. And my lawyer is being told that Globe Van Lines filed for bankrupcty so i am basicly S.O.L. On getting them to pay for the damages. So now im am out about 10k for the items that were unfixable.

I hope that anyone who uses a moving company really looks in to them more before they use them. We have used moving companys a few times before this and that was always a good exp. But i guess moving with a company paid by the military isnt going to f* you over like this. Hopefully in the long run i will still get the money they owe me but im not holding my breathe.
