Is a rip off and a bunch of bullies

These clowns took 11 hours to move us three and half miles, and then tried to charge us almost $1200. They damaged and destroyed many of our antique furnishings, either by dragging them face down across the asphalt or chunking heavy boxes on them. Many broken ceramics and destroyed furnishings. They gave me a "Customer Satisfaction Survey" when they were finally done, but when I proceeded to give them an unsatisfactory rating, the forcibly took it away from me. The foreman says, "Well I'm not going to let you fill this out if you're going to say bad things about us."

Nice boys.

They sent a rep to our home the next week to photograph the damage, and he apologized for their foreman being "off his meds", but when it came time for the refund all the politeness was gone.

They made only ONE offer for the damage, which we refused as being wholly inadequate. They mailed us the check anyway and we returned it to them certified mail. When I then disputed the charge on my credit card, they mailed them a copy of the check WE HAD RETURNED and said they'd already given us a refund. And now the Better Business Bureau, to whom they pay dues, states that they made "every reasonable effort" to resolve the situation.

The heck they did. Stay away from this outfit if you value your belongings. They sent untrained day workers who would leave to take a box to the truck and not come back for thirty minutes. They packed the truck so badly they were unable to put all of our belongings into it (of which they had a complete inventory to the box a month beforehand), and we had to take three days off work and hire other people just to finish the job Longhorn expects $1200 for.
