Ripoff, lied, decieved, bait & switch, threatened, verbally abusive

I am writing this to you out of concern for the health and welfare for the puppies that come from Heather Searle/Heather Leaming (she goes by either name) from Broken Arrow Oklahoma. She has several website's, one that has the name Rocky Mountain Dogue de Bordeaux's at the website geocities.com/1812. It was a link from
terrificpets, breedersnet, dogbreedinfo). We made a purchase for a male pup from what we thought was a reputable breeder. He (the pup) was shipped by air to us in California.

We had also purchased a female from a different breeder in Arkansas. The breeder of the female drove to Oklahoma to the breeder of the males location. The two of them (the pups) flew together. We had explained to both breeders that we were going to have the two breed. We were promised they were in good health and have been vet checked.

To our horror, when the pups arrived the male pup's belly was swollen, he had severe diarrhea, and his temperament was that of an abused pup. His looks were not within the standards of the breed. His nose is too long, as well as his legs. His hips are too narrow, plus he has no wrinkles. His tail has a large defect as it is kinked. We right away contacted the breeder. She was quite angry and verbally abusive and accused us of terrible treatment of the dog.

When we asked about the defects she claimed we only paid her enough money for a "pet quality" puppy. He had only been in our possession for a few short hours at the time. She said if we did not like it, "we could come to Oklahoma and sue her". When advertised she had used a picture of another pup to represent him to us, said he went by the name Elvis. It was a completely different puppy than his picture. His markings were totally different than his picture, I'd say it was some sort of a "bait and switch" operation.

A few days ago I found her listed at usacomplaints.com where she had two separate complaints, one of which was dated just one month prior to our purchase, stating some of the same complaints we had. If only we had found her listed before we purchased. She has refused to answer emails from us and she will not accept phone call either. She said the only contact she will accept is a registered or certified letter. I believe she will get her wish as we will be contacting an attorney. I hope this letter will find it's way to other's who are expecting to get a happy and healthy puppy for their hard earned dollar... We paid $1530.00, no small piece of change...
