Jet Powered Group owes me $4625 and they have owed me this for several months. After many months and multiple phone calls requesting payment, as of this week they are not returning my calls.

My experience is very similar to what has been described in the earlier post here.

1) You do the work and bill them.
2) You do not get paid, then this is what happens:
3) They tell you they outsourced their accounting to an inept company that's made it impossible for them to sort out their accounts payable.
4) They tell you that one of their clients (in my case, Deploy Solutions was the company cited) is not paying them quickly enough.
5) They tell you they've lost an account.
6) They do not pay you.
7) They do not return phone calls.

I recently heard a rumor that apparently there are two companies. This is hearsay and not slander or libel because I am not saying this is true and I don't claim that this is a fact, but what I have heard is one company is heavily in debt and the other is William Tincup's personal bank account. The former is Jet Powered Group who owes freelancers upwards of $80,000 and the latter is Jet Powered Monkey. This is a rumor worth investigating.

The three principals of Jet Powered Group are Brian Burrows (listed as the "Registered Agent") who apparently is on sabbatical in Spain; William Tincup, the financial guy who refuses to pay; and Bret Starr, of whom I know nothing about, save the fact that he's an excellent writer of white papers.

Lindsay Daniels is the woman they say they've put in charge of preparing invoices for payment. She's an excellent gatekeeper and well-versed in the tactics of placating with empty promises.

Charles Bedard, Executive Vice President of Delivery, is also quite skilled at tactfully making no promises while saying the company has every intention of paying every cent to everyone. What a load of crap. If this were true, this message board would not exist.

The small claims court of Tarrant County has sent me the forms to file suit. I have a long litany of emails documenting various work I've performed for them, emails regarding my attempts to receive payment from them, and I have copies of all the invoices for which they owe me money.

I intend on getting paid one way or the other. I'm just sorry it's come to this.
