Sold me fatally ill dog, refused to give refund, assaulted family member, screamed obscene words at my grieving mothe

On Wednesday, August 3, we had to put down our 12 year old dog. My mother was heart broken, so my father and I decided to buy her a puppy. We bought her a Cocker Spaniel from Furry Friends.

As soon as my dad forked over nearly $600 and signed the contract, the owner, Michelle Monsoor, informed us that the dog had a cough. I noticed the dog also had a runny nose. The owner told us that the dog had been on medication for a few days and gave us a grocery bag full of pills to continue to give to the dog.

My mom used to be a Vet tech. And as soon as we got the puppy home, she knew something was wrong. We took the puppy to the Vet on Thursday and she said that the dog was REALLY sick. She ran some tests (costing us nearly $200) and said she'd call us with the results. She also said that the amount of pills the lady at Furry Friends had instructed us to give the puppy would have caused the dog to overdose on the medication. Nice...

The Vet called my mom on Friday and told her the dog had a severe case of distemper. This is a central nervous system disease that dogs get; it cannot be cured. My mom immediately called the people at Furry Friends; they told my mom that our Vet was a "quack" and we'd have to sue to get our money back. My mom informed them that we spoke to our lawyer and we could easily get the money back for the dog. The owner then agreed that she'd give us a refund.

My mom, my little brother, and my aunt went to Furry Friends Friday evening to take the dog back and get a refund. The moment my mother walked into the store, the lady grabbed the dog from her and ran out the back. Then all the owner started screaming at my mom to get the F@#k out of her store.

My mom said she wasn't going to leave without her money or the dog... The owner kept screaming, and my family would leave... So she rushed my aunt and shoved her so hard she almost fell.

My mom called the cops on these people. Right before the cops arrived, the owner threw a refund check at my mom and screamed and cursed at her again. The cops came and made a report. And the lady kept cursing at my mom and told her "I hope your f-en dogs all die, c#$t!"

These people are heartless, greedy, and cruel... All of the puppies in the store have now been exposed to distemper and they will all likely die! But these people keep selling dogs knowing they are fatally ill and keep dispensing medication without a license.

These people need to be shut down!!!
