$5 extra for display model, sound like a deal... Ripoff!

Today I went to purchase an office chair at Staples. On the display model I wanted was a sign that read "have this chair assembled for only $5 extra dollars." However when I asked the man that assisted me to assemble my chair he informed me that he would give me the display. Most companies give discounts for display models, not charge extra money so you can have a used piece of furniture.

When I spoke with the cashier I was informed that that is what they do so you don't have to wait. My sister then purchased the chair for me and I brought it home to assemble it myself... Only to find that it was BROKEN!!!

Maybe they thought that since I lived in a small town I didn't have many choices... Or maybe they judged me by how young I look... But Customers do have choices and I refuse to be ripped off. I returned my chair and I will never again purchase a piece of paper, let alone anything of value, from such a corporation.
