We took the Florida trip and have a tale to tell! Ripoff

Shops, Products, Services

Ok. We bought into the All Season's Internet Popup and we took the Florida trip (finally). Here is the scoop.

All Seasons lied on where we were staying. After 4 weeks of attempting to get information (and several other lies such as "we are finalizing and will mail on Monday") we were finally passed to Take-A-Break Travel who gave us Hotel information and rental information. We were required to stop by the "Welcome Centre" at each hotel.
3 nights Orlando - 2 nights Fort Lauderdale - 2 nights Daytona Beach.

Upon checking at Welcome Centre at the Radisson Worldgate Orlando we had to sign an agreement to attend a sales pitch next morning. Had to! Even though All Seasons told us we did not because we were from Canada. After signing the agreement we got our hotel certificate for the three nights. Now this hotel is older but is certainly an OK hotel. No complaints.

We did the sales thing (hey free breakfast for 3.5 hours of babble and only a few lies!).

Now on to Fort Lauderdale - Hotel was Ramada no where near the beaches as we were originally told (miles away from the coast!). The hotel was really old and not all that clean - In my opinion a 2 star hotel. We did NOT have to do a sales pitch but were confronted by a very confrontational salesman who even managed to get in some lies while trying to get us to go to the pitch!
Now on to Daytona Beach. The hotel was a 1 star beat up old place that, at least, had no bugs! It likely was an ok place in its day but this place is in dire need of a complete rebuild. No sales pitch needed!

So ended the 7 day vacation offered by All Seasons 800 dollars Canadian for 7 nights and a sub compact car (we upgraded to an SUV at our own cost) and by the way that does not include any taxes - you have to pay them at each hotel and the car rental.

The hotels and the timeshare people seem to be in "cahoots" as they were quite friendly with each other as well as being co-located at each place.

Final evaluation - Don't bother - you can do better on your own as we did in our second week 500 dollars for suites for 7 days. These guys are in it to sell sell sell (oh yeah did I mention all the lies?). We made a suggestion to the salesman in Orlando that if they could cut out the lies maybe it would help the sales "Yes, I am going to look into that". Right - that was his 7th or 8th lie in 3 hours...

Good luck everyone! Florida can be an awesome place to visit! Just do a little homework!
