Don't EVER Work 4 Them! You'll Regret It!

I applied at Dillards and started to go through training. They mentioned that I would have a Sales Per Hour Goal each day. They said if we go above our SPH goal for 6 mo. Then we will get a raise, and they acted like it was very easy to do. Just be nice to the customer, offer them a shirt to go w / a pair of pants, the usual and it shouldnt be hard.

So I got pretty excited, and once I got on the floor I noticed that everybody would hog sales. Associates actually hated eachother b/c they would try to take the sales to get a raise. It was absolutely ridiclous. I am nice and I will suggest outfits or something to match w / a clothing they have in their hand. But the thing is, is that you cant sell clothing to people who don't have money to spend on clothing they werent expecting to get.
I am currently still working there and I am looking for a job ASAP. My 6mo. Is coming up and I am below my SPH so that means I will get a pay cut, i believe its $1.15. WHICH IS CRAZY!

I got hired in Nov. And I kid you not since Nov. There has been 13 people who have quit and 3 people who have gotten fired, just in MY section! Those are ridiculous numbers!

I have read the comments about how the tardies and absenses are horrible, but I think we get it pretty easy. Well, at the Metro North Mall Dillards, you get 3 absenses (excused/unexcused) in a period of 6mo and on your 9th tardy you get fired. I personally dont feel that its too hard to accompany those rules.

But overall I feel this company has a lot of work to do, the employers are unhappy and its obvious! Just look at all the comments just on this website!
