Ripped me off using false advertising ripoff

Wherehouse.com ripped me off. Before any of you jerk off employees of wherehouse physical locations write a rebuttal, remember this is the internet store I'm dealing with. They offer to give you credit to be used toward purchases from them when you send them your dvds or cds. I sent them four dvds.

They are as follows: Freddy vs Jason 2 disc
Dilbert The Complete Series
Open Water Widescreen
Higher Learning

I was to receive $27.00 in store credit to be applied towards future purchases. That was understood. A month went by and I heard nothing from them. I contacted their customer service department and heard nothing. Then I sent follow up after follow up. Finally, someone replied to my 11th or 12th e-mail and it was very vague. They denied ever receiving the shipment.

So I ran a tracker on the package. It did in fact arrive at their warehouse and was signed for by them. So if they lost it, they should assume responsibility for it. But they will not. They have refused to do anything about this.

They will not reply to my e-mail inquiries and basically, I just gave them four dvds for nothing. The sad part about this is that this is the first time they've done this to me! I have used them in the past and it was so smooth and easy!

Now, they've just ripped me off and I am stunned as to why they have done this! What do they possibly have to gain by lying to me and saying they never received my shipment and then keeping it? I mean, aren't they this big corporation? Don't they have tons and tons of dvds already? What was so special about mine?

Any advice on how to handle this would be appreciated. There is no phone number to contact them. Only one e-mail address to which they do not respond to.
