Ripoff, non-paying Borrower, scam, theft, cheat, liar, fraudulent, slanderous

William A. Collins (Billy) and his current wife, Sharon L. Collins have defaulted on a personal loan I financed for them. I owned a high end boutique in Winston Salem, NC. They were eager to buy it from me and begged me to seller finance the 30K (7 yrs, 7.5% interest) they needed for the inventory. I hesitantly agreed. I hired an Attorney to review all the forms and everything appeared fine. (The Attorney has since been dis-barred) I recieved loan payments from the Collins' for 2.5 years then all of a sudden they have had their Attorney write me a letter to say "they are exercising their written right (in the Note) to stop making payment to recover from their loss".

They are alleging I did not give them the correct sales numbers. My rebuttal is: I am a different sales person than them, I advertised-and they do not, I am simply better at the business than they are and that is why our sales figures differ.

They have put the ball in my court, I have spoken to several Attorneys in my area and the smallest retainer is $2500.00 for my representation. I just can't pay that at this time and I do not have a clue how to persue this on my own, other than this website!

I have also heard from several people that Sharon (who runs the store now) has repeatedly slandered my good name and reputaion. I am fighting mad, but penniless all the same.
