Poor Customer Service and Installation Issues with Window Purchase Misleading Claims About Impact-Resistant Windows Certification

I purchased windows from Paramount Builders, LLC, 501 Central Dr, Virginia Beach, 23454. I have experienced the worst customer service ever. Ms. Puopolo, the PM, is slow to respond to phone calls and texts regarding my concerns about insulation and the type of windows. The salesperson and installers did an awesome job. However, I wasn't informed that the blind brackets had to be removed, and reinstalling them would be my responsibility. I'm a senior citizen with shoulder problems.

A specialist was sent out to measure all windows, and on the day of installation, one window was off by 2 inches. I was told incidents happen and that it's in the contract, according to Ms. Puopolo. This should not have happened since this person's only job was to measure the windows. I let Ms. Puopolo and the GM, Mr. Ross Kool, who never returned my call or text, know that I should be compensated for their mistake. When pressured, Ms. Puopolo scheduled a handyman to install the blind brackets, but the closing date coincided with a dentist appointment. The rescheduled date was a month later.

I would recommend anyone spending the money I did on windows to really think and choose their company wisely. If I had to do it all over again, Paramount Builders would not be my choice. Also, I wasn't given the option of certified impact-resistant windows, which would have been a game changer, offering safety and a reduction on Homeowner's Insurance. Ms. Puopolo lied, claiming that the windows I have are certified impact-resistant. I spoke with Milgard, the window makers, and was told that my windows are not certified. I will be informing all of my neighbors who have inquired about this company of my experience.
