Ripped Off In, by Bernard Haldane

We went to teh Haldane Office in Portland Maine in August of 1998. Heard the song and dance about how Haldane would help in finding a job, writting Resume, training and reviews with you over the next two years. We paid the contract and met with them four times in Portland, Maine. They knew my wife was transferring to Washington, DC (she is a career Naval Officer) and Haldane promised that they would send all of the paper work to DC to the Haldane office nearest to us.

I found a job (on my own as you may have guessed from reading the other rip-off accounts) with the Federal Government. Haldane never contacted us, even though we left the new phone number and home address in our files for them.

Three years after moving to DC, we get a call from a collection agency saying Haldane had turned over our files to them to collect $1,500.00 more dollars. When we pressed the collection agency about the information they said, "Haldane was unable to reach us so they turned the file over to them (the collection agency." I asked the person at the collection agency how she got our phone number then? She said it was in the file Haldane sent us.

We paid Haldane in full in September of 1998, the office manager in Portland, Jerry, the counsler Ted, and Ed from the Boston Haldane Office can not be reached now, and they are the ones that we paid.

It is sort of funny that we didn't hear from Haldane until after I worked with FEMA on the 9-11-01 attacks. Maybe they thought they should receive more money since someone they ripped off before had a role in the recovery of the TWC and Pentagon.

If anyone ever considers using Haldane for anything they would come out ahead just burning their money. With as many people as Haldane has ripped off over the years, a CLASS ACTION SUIT should be considered.
