Dress dept manager rejected my dress return for her own mistakes

The dress dept manager from Lord and Taylor at 1440 northern blvd Manhasset NY is horrible. She refused my dress return without giving me specific reason. I only bought this dress a week ago and figured it is little too tight, so I went back trying to return. However, this manager claimed that tags are not in the right place and she can't take it back. How could I know if they are in the right place or wrong place when I was purchasing? That is her responsibility to check all dresses for the labels. She tried to accuse me for redoing the label. I was extremely upset with this so called manager and she tried to blame the customers for their own mistakes
