I was told that my poetry was wanted for publishing in an anthology. I sent them an original work, as per their request, and paid for the book and also a plaque, a total (approximate) price of $130.00. It was several months before I received the plaque with my poetry but never received the book. I wrote to Noble House regarding this and sent a copy of the cancelled check I used to pay for it. But my letter went unresponded to, and I still have not received the anthology I paid for almost two years ago. Though my plaque is a nice addition to my wall, the book would have been a nice addition to my book collection.

I received another submission letter from them today. They claim to have, again, read my work, though I haven't sent in anything to them or Poetry.com or any other "publisher". After the last experience with Noble House I am infuriated that they even have the nerve to ask for more of my work, and after reading some other complaints about the company I surely will NEVER AGAIN submit anything else. Companies such as Noble House and Poetry.com really are after the money. I regret ever putting my money in their pockets when I get nothing but my name on a page. They really ARE banking in on the scheme and anyone else who considers submission should consider otherwise—they're only losing money. (Poetry.com is also known as The National Library of Poetry.) The greatest poets of our time never went through such ordeals to gain recognition and neither should anyone else.
