Big rip-off! Brisbane

In taking over my husband's accounting records for his business I discovered several charges from a company called Datesnow Pty Ltd. The first two were for 19.99 and the third for 79.99. I inquired about the charges to my husband and he had no idea what they were. The credit card they were charged to is not currently used. My husband wouldn't even look at the statement, he would just pay the amount due - BIG mistake!

The charges were in Dec '03, Jan and Feb '04. I reported it immediately to my credit card company but they said it was too late. You only have 60 days to report it (found that out the hard way). So, basically we have to eat that $120.00 charge (plus interest). My advise is to check your credit card statement every month even if you don't use the card for charges. I sure hope somebody can catch these guys and make them pay back the people they've ripped off!
