Lottery Scam, ripoff

I received a letter in the mail saying that I had won 255,000 euros. I immediately thought it was a scam because I had never entered any lottery. I called the number and the person on the phone said that an airline I had flown with had entered my name. He convinced me to fax the confirmation sheet but encouraged me to keep it very discreet because he said someone might try to steal my money (funny, coming from someone who was trying to do just that!) I faxed the confirmation sheet, without any banking info. But I did however, fax a photocopy of my driver's license and social insurance card. Am I safe, can they use my SIN for identity fraud? Any suggestions would be very helpful!
