Ripoff deceptive marketing and stole my money

In mid October, I ordered two phones and shared service plan from Liberty Wireless. As a customer of Liberty for about a year, I had not experienced any real problems until now. I don' have bad credit and can get phones at any other provider, but Liberty required no contract and the price was great. Liberty had a new "shared" program where you purchase two phones, which had a $100 mail-in rebate for each phone, and get service for a seemingly great price.

After the rebates, the phones were to be free. I put the phones and service on my check card and waited for my phones to arrive. I received one phone on 10/15, but only received only a $50 dollar rebate coupon. That was the first red flag. I tried to use my phone but was directed to an automated voice that told me Liberty had to receive an additional $55 for my service to be activated. I couldn't believe it.

I went to the website immediately to see if I missed something. I went through all the steps up to check-out to find something telling me that the initial payment would not include the first months service. I found nothing. I went to my paperwork I printed during check-out and in very tiny letters was the line telling me that I would have to pay additional money to have my phone turned on. I was furious. I called Liberty and advised them that this was fraud. I was apologized to and told that I could send the phone back.

Once the phone was received, I would get my money back in 7 to 10 business days and that I would not be charged for cancelling the other phone on backorder. They received my phone on 10/21; I should have received my money no later than 11/4. No money was put back in my account.

I called 11/5 and didn't even get an apology but that my money would be there by Monday or Tuesday of the following week. Well, today is Wednesday, and still no money has been credited to my account. They have stolen $207 of my money, and I am seriously considering filing criminal charges of theft by taking.
