I briefly worked with Mr. Lawrence Donini after he casted me in one of his short films "Swing the Sickle". It was understood through a contract as well as verbally that this was a paid gig. But to my surprise, 2 days of filming elapsed and of course, no payment. Just the "promise to pay you tomorrow" deal. Never happened.

I put that aside when he invited me to work with him. Nothing he put his name on in 2011 proved to be lucrative, it only costed everyone money. Which leads up to my current complaint. I worked with Lawrence on one of his events "The Paper Castle" in Hollywood at the Avalon. It was in no way my Job to purchase their backdrop BUT out of good faith I loaned Lawrence Donini $500 (that I borrowed from my brother who took it out of a student loan) under the promise that I would receive it back THAT same night. Over a year later I have yet to receive any payment or the 500 dollars owed to me. Till this day I only get "I'll have money in a week; I'm getting in a few days and when I do, you'll be the first one I contact"... Etc B.S.
