Charges to my debit card that were not authorized

I signed up for a FREE trial to people magazine over a year ago and never received anything. Now they charged 58 dollars to my account. When I called them they said they would stop the charge immediately before the charge cleared my account and that it would not reach it. But 3 days later insteasd of getting the money back the c harge went through anyway. The timing cpouldnt be worse because now I have 10 dollars to get me till payday and its not enough for the gas I need to get to work. Thanks for rippin me off.
