Scammed and harassed my musical stage act and slandered my follower's and me

Recreation & Entertainment

They failed to scam me but they tryed. I was contacted by this individual about my music act. They found me through a web site that host's some of my sound clips, I use this site for letting people know about me and my music.in the message they stated that they needed me for shows at a local club (that they do not own) in the coming summer month's.

I was happy to be invited but was not convinced as I've seen scams before so I followed the instructions they gave and after I was all signed up they hit me with a bomb! I'd have to sell so many ticket's to this event and I was only limited to so much time doing my act and would share the stage with people I don't know anything about.

This is some thing called Pay-For-Play in the business and they had not said any thing about this deal until I was signed up at there web site. It is popular in some area's and if a group has a reliable following it can be alright for them. But that's mainly for well established act's that are signed or have gotten to a point of having fan's that are willing to do this and they have people/outlet's that will sell ticket's for them.

I'm not at that point yet and it is very apparent on my web page by the fact that I only have a few fan's and don't have a steady tour schedule listed there, and I'm not signed either. When I get a gig I put it on my wall post, but I've not added a post announcing a show for more than 6 month's.

I told this person in one e-mail (right after I found out about the PFP deal) that I was not into Pay-For-Play as I'm new and that I'm not a ticket booth. I was civil about it, wished them luck and was going to forget about it. Then I got another e-mail from them that was not very nice, telling me that my audience draw was pathetic and I don't have the kind of fan's that will be reliable for there show's and that they have all these great people that they represent and all this over head in their company. I then sent a reply telling them about how I must struggle and how I respect the people that come to my show's if they tip me or not.

I have received another e-mail from them saying that they cut me from there program but still have the nerve to ask for me to work with them in the future. This was after I told them in that last reply that I would find a lawyer if they sent me another e-mail.

I can't afford a lawyer so I report here.
