After stumbling upon this site and reading what a former employee had to say, the realization has hit me that I am now a victim of a scam. We thoroughly researched "Kids Talent" before handing over Visa #'s and spoke with someone we thought was reputable. We looked at the BBB and saw that their rating was just fine. We were told that our daughter was highly marketable and though I didn't think for a second that my kid would be the next Dakota Fanning, I figured we could just have some fun with it and maybe sock a little something away for college. So, we paid the $500 dollar fee and heard... CRICKETS! I routinely submitted new photo's and were told that they were great and that they had a lot of interest from agents on my daughter. That was a year and a half ago. Since then I periodically send an angry email letting them know that we aren't even receiving the basic contract services like learning about open castings and such. Last Christmas after another email, I was sent this casting for something in L.A. And it was for like 5 days from then. UGH! Soooo pissed that I fell for this. Like the person said who worked for this Alex Simon..."He does just enough to avoid being illegal".
Whatever you do, don't pay this guy any money! And if you are an angry parent scammed right along with me... PLEASE go onto the Better Business Bureau of Nevada and log a complaint to get this shady guy shut down! I know its not a lot of money in the long run, but these shady guys that shirk the law NEED to be stopped!
I am also wondering WHY does this guys have a B rating if he's had 16 complaints in the last 36 months!!!
