Four of my close friends and I went to Bourbon Street on Oct. 17th, much to my dismay as there are an infinite array of better places to be in New Orleans besides Bourbon St, especially if you are local. We were passing up the "home of the hand-grenade" Tropical Isle. One of my freinds wanted one and I only had a five and a one dollar bill. I collected two more dollar bills and headed in the dreadful over-priced business...

I apologized for not being able to tip the bartender, whom I am sure had already made several hundred dollars in tips working a Saturday. She treated me rudely and made the drink. I've worked for tips before i know how it is; and for sure women make better tips than men in general, esp the bar scene. So I highly doubt she was hurting for cash.

I apologized again and made my way out the door. Next thing I knnow some random guy is pulling me by my jacket, screaming at me. I was ready to swing being treated so rudely. Then this prissy small-minded girl who will probably trick some dopey guy into paying for her entire life then divorce him when he goes bald or broke comes up and grabs the drink i haven't even tasted. She tells me i only gave her 3 dollars. A complete and total lie because i know for a fact i gave her 4 bills-a five and 3 ones. There's no way i only gave her 3 dollars because i am not an idiot. I astutely keep track of my money-especailly while drinking in the city (the last beer is always the most important.) I was not anywhere near that drunk to accidently give someone 5 dollars less for something.

So i actually assumed I had the 5 in my jacket or something and gave her the benefit of the doubt. I searched my pockets and-came up one five dollar bill short-one LAST five dollar bill short. So i still am not frustrated or upset yet. I just want to talk to the manager and explain what happened. I was DENIED ENTRY to the building. I had no choice but to leave very preturbed and i will never spend a single dollar at that grimy unprofessional garbage bar again. Frenchmen Street is so much better.
