Horrible Treatment and Disregard of Mother's Rights, Bounce Around Refuses to Uphold Maryland Breastfeeding Laws

My friends and I went to Bounce Around in Glen Burnie yesterday. We had heard about the horrible treatment another mother, that we knew, had received when she tried to nurse her baby. We couldn't imagine that any company would purposely ignore Maryland's laws, not that we should even need a law, protecting a mother's right to nurse her child!

Breastfeeding and Maryland Law
Mothers have the right to breastfeed wherever they go with their baby. No particular legislation should be needed to protect the right of mothers' to breastfeed in public. However, legislation has been enacted in nearly one-half of the states in the U.S. (including Maryland) in order to clarify the right, and provide remedy for mothers told to stop breastfeeding in public.in Maryland passed legislation regarding breastfeeding in public.

The law states that:
A mother may breast-feed her child in any public or private location in which the mother and child are authorized to be A person may not restrict or limit the right of a mother to breast-feed her child.

We were told we were not allowed to nurse our babies and that if we did we would be asked to leave. We had a police officer with us who spoke with the manager but we were all informed that this is corporate policy and just the way it is.

Mother's UNITE! Do not patronize this establishment! The reviews (complaints) are all over the internet and cover several reasons why we should ALL stay away!
