Show Ticket Ripoff Internet

When you search Google for Show Tickets, Las Vegas, you're first option is Vegas.com. You can buy show tickets, find hotels, get descriptions of events or sights to see in Vegas, the works. I wanted to see Celine Dion, and they sold the tickets. However, they charged $115 for the $87.51 ticket instead of the face value on the ticket.

Additionally they charge the usual fees for "Convenience Charge and Order Processing Fee" of $42. When I got there, the tickets were marked as $87.51 price tickets (inclusive of Colliseum fees from Ceasars Palace). When I questioned the box office at Ceasars they told me that their official sales office was Ticketmaster and that Vegas.com overcharges.

So the folks who paid $115 from Ticketmaster were in Mezzanine 1, not 2 like me, and they too got a drink package. I called Vegas.com and asked for the difference in the $87.51 and the $115; I told them they could keep the "convenience Charge and Order Processing Fee" since I would have paid that to Ticketmaster anyway. But I shouldn't have to pay extra because I bought from them when the "official ticket sales office" according to Ceasars Palace is not listed anywhere on Vegas.com site.

When I called customer care at Vegas.com, they told me that I didn't do enough research; that's why they can charge more for the tickets and have people buy from them. They don't tell you that you are paying more per ticket than if you go to the "official sales office" for the tickets... Sometimes that "official sales office" is the hotel itself and sometimes its not.

So basically for trusting a company that I've used many a time, I got Ripped Off on this one concert, and they say it's my own fault for trusting them. Meanwhile Cesears is acknowledging that Vegas.com jacks up the price but they let them sell the tickets anyway.
