Ticketmaster - Entertainment Rewards
Charges were made against my account without my consent or knowledge ripoff

Today I was going through my bank transactions online and found $9.00 charges from the past 3 months. I had no idea what they were for except that they were from the company "Entertainment Rewards".

I called the number on my bank statement to find out what company this was. The recording then continues to tell me this crap about how I became a member after purchasing tickets from Ticketmaster and accepting their cash back rewards. Ok, why would they have to go through the long speech of HOW I became a member if I was the one who supposedly knew I was signing up for this thing?

When a live person came on the phone, I told her that I did not authorize them to charge my account and I did not sign up for any membership or subscription. She said that when I bought the tickets on Ticketmaster I entered my e-mail address twice and that was considered a virtual signature and therefore signed up for a 30-day trial rewards program.

Ticketmaster requires you to create an account before you can buy tickets. Entering my e-mail twice was part of creating an account; not signing away my money.

Needless to say, Entertainment Rewards would not budge about refunding my money for the past 3 months. It's only $27.00 but it's the pricipal of the matter.

My bank is filing a dispute and going to refund me the money once all of the necessary forms are filled out. The bad thing about it is that they had to cancel my debit card and I won't get my new one for 7-10 days. ARRRGGGGHHHHH, what a pain in the butt.
