Charged $9 Monthly From Checking After June Ticket Purchase

I bought tickets on ticketmaster.com in June. Afterward, an ad popped up saying something like, "Would you like to save 50% on your next Ticketmaster purchase?" I may have looked at it, but I never accepted or signed up for anything.
The next thing I knew, 2 months had gone by and they had started taking $9 per month out of my checking account. The first month I mistakenly related it to something else. I got the phone number when it happened again and called. They said I signed up for it when I purchased the tickets. I said I did not and that I wanted to cancel and get a refund. Her name was Chrissie. She said I could cancel but that they do not give refunds. I asked for a manager, and she put me on hold, at which point she just hung up on me.
Immediately afterward, I found an email with a cancellation confirmation number. After thinking about it, this is the second time this scam has happened to me over the last couple of years, so they must be making a lot of money.
I feel I should call the police. Do not fall for this. Do not buy tickets from Ticketmaster online, whatever you do. This whole business has simply infuriated me.
