Charged twice for an event

Tried to contact Groupon regarding being charged twice for an event. I was advised to give the tickets away as they do not refund events. I advised her that I did not need double the tickets nor could I afford them. I was informed at the event that it happened to many people. If this is the case then we should be refunded!!!
