Florida State Senator Smith wishes to repeal the so called "Stand your ground law". He wants home (thieves, murders) invaders who are shot by homeowners to be able to sue the homeowners for damages. This has happened many times in the past. Many, many times...

If a home invader is crippled by being shot or unable to work (Continue stealing) they can sue the homeowners. The current law protects the homeowners from being sued. Gun owners that protect their families should not have to go bankrupt hiring lawyers to protect themselves from these lawsuits.
