Incompetent private Tax collection agency

This is concerning Pennsylvania Municipal Service Company, on of the most incompetent organizations ever allowed to wield government power. They contract with local municipalities to collect local taxes, a task that should be performed by a elected tax collector. They have a well known reputation for erroneous and unethical billing practices in Southwestern Pennsylvania. They consistantly double-bill local taxpayers and charge outrageous fees for what they claim is a few cents of under-payment of tax bills when most tax instructions tell the taxpayer to round to the nearest dollar amount. There practices are very questionable and I have read online complaints from individuals in other local municipalities concerning this firm as well as heard many vocal complaints about them. When ever one deals with this firm it needs to be in writing, since they are nearly impossible to reach via phone and you need to have every evidence of there mistake documented to get them to back off in there collection attempts.

The local taxpayers in southwestern Pennsylvania that are being victimized by this firm need to unite against them and file a class action suit to shut them down.
