A tax shelter for cronies, not general public as it doesn't allow for individual to make a property donation

Local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity is not open for donations to general public as it appears to be used as a tax shelter for developers and builders and other companies in construction trades but is not open to accept donations of sale-able real estate from individuals. This is technically a violation of public trust via IRS registration as a 501 (C) non profit. Whose stated purpose is provide housing.By refusal to accept housing that they allow builders to donate for their organizations re-sale demonstrates that they are in collusion with local builders and land developers, providing tax shelters for properties that other wise would not be sold in current real estate market. Habitat for Humanity here in Las Cruces is run for the benefit of those that run it... And crony companies that are able to move assets to the Habitat and accrue tax deductions, offsetting company losses. While that is not illegal, it is not afforded to individuals wishing to do the same thing. Donate equivalent real property and accrue a personal tax deduction for the gift.

The Habitat could provide vital housing to many more families in need if it was ran to maximize such. It isn't.
