Judge orders surrender of fire arms in all protection orders even when there is no record of any criminal or violent activity or threat. The NYS law gives a judge the authority to do so IF there is a reasonable suspicion based on documentation but according to the local Sheriff this judge orders the surrender of firearms in every case without exception.
This is contrary to the Constitution of the United States and needs to be challenged.in my case I have been a licensed pistol owner for 32 years with no criminal record or arrest and no violent threats were shown on the request for the order and yet a surrender order was issued.
