Rebecca Addy Unqualified CPS workers ignore child abuse after receiving complaints from more than 6 different sources including licensed counselors, parent, grandparents, school, neighbors and relatives

Ever see the CPS advertisement "Call if you even think that a child is being abused." Yeah right, all I can say is good Public Relations advertising but what really happens when you call? Well, I am here to tell you, first hand.

First of all, the workers are overworked, under paid, under qualified and have barely enough time to even do the minimal paperwork required to complete a legitimate Child Protection case. And answering your emails or phone calls, nonexistent. And, Mark Hackel, he did not return any of his either.

After my daughter and the 2 other children in the household had in total almost 10 different abuse complaints filed to CPS - all by different sources including the school, a licensed child psychologist that specializes in abuse, the mom, the grandparents, relatives, friends and neighbors, CPS ignored the facts.

The person abusing even admitted to inserting her finger inside of the little girl and her sisters vaginal area. Guess what, it was ignored because as they claimed, it was done in the bath and was not meant to be sexual act because she was bathing her. Does any one know of another stepmom that inserts her entire finger into her stepdaughter with no washcloth to clean her at the age of 7? Or even their own daughter for that matter?

CPS claiming that this was not sexual, I guess allowed them to ignore the other facts as well. Trimming her nails so short that they bled (she did not like the nail polish color that her mom put on). How about making the 5 year old boy dress up like a girl and making all the other kids call him sissy all day simply because he got hurt and cried so step dad said he was acting like a baby. How much abuse can these poor kids take before one day they can not take it any more and who knows they get really hurt, continue to have the troubles they are having in school, or even worse commit suicide someday from all the abuse.

Yes, the step mom can molest and hurt a child because what did they say, if more complaints came in, that my daughter could be sent to a foster home. Can you believe it!!! You try to protect a child and you are told not to make any more complaints! The system definitely helps the criminals.

Come on Michigan. We have enough unemployed people, hire some social workers that really care about kids and lets pay the right kind of people to protect our kids. These kids need help and no one will help them. Is there any one out there that can be the voice for our kids? At least someone who will take the time to listen, do the research and look at all the facts?

And be careful with CPS, they make the final decisions in these cases. You file a police report, it ends up at CPS, do an interview with Carehouse, CPS makes the final decision on the interview. Yes, that's right. My daughter was interviewed by Carehouse, told everything that had happened to her and the other kids and CPS, not the detective or Carehouse, made the final decision.

I am hoping for some help from others that have seen the lack of help that our CPS and our system provides. Please reply to my ad if you know of any sources that can help these kids!!! Thank you.
